Fox 12's Andy Carson Fun Run - Wednesday, April 16, 2008 Harborside Marina - Portland, OR. Click for directions/map

 Local weatherman Andy Carson is doing something spectacular for his Birthday this year and he wants you to join him.  Andy is running 40 miles downtown on his 40th Birthday, Wednesday, April 16th. Andy is running to raise money for the fight against cancer.  100% of the proceeds of this event will go to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.  

4 loops.  Andy will begin his day-long journey at approximately 8:00am on Wednesday, April 16, 2008.  Andy will start at The Harborside Marina and head north on the waterfront path crossing the river on the famous Steel Bridge. Next Andy will run along the east side esplanade heading south past OMSI, run along the Springwater Corridor and over the Sellwood Bridge.  Andy will then head again north to Harborside.  Andy will do this loop 4 times with the 4th loop being modified to create the 40 miles Andy needs to complete this challenge.  

Jump in anytime.   Andy needs company.  Sign up and come run part of all of this event with Andy.  We will have live television and website updates to show where Andy is along the way.  You can run with Andy before work or at lunch or after work. You can run anytime with or without Andy to show your support for the cause.   Andy will be on the course from approximately 8am to 4 or 5pm.  If you can't run with Andy because he is on the wrong side of the river, come run anyway!  You will receive a cool "Andy's Fun Run" T shirt from adidas (first 500) and a $10. certificate good at any McCormick & Schmick's. Come show your support for cancer care and research - The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. 

Can't run?  Sign up anyway!  Come down and register, pick up your cool adidas t-shirt and your $10 McCormick & Scmick's gift certificate as a way to show your support for this fantastic cause.  We need a good cheering squad.  Maybe you only want to walk a few miles or run a few miles, either way, come show your support.  100% of the proceeds of this run go to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
