Start atop Mt. Tabor. For a perfect DOWNHILL 4-mile jaunt, begin by getting some kind of transportation to the top of Mt. Tabor. Our route starts with running half of the upper loop. Check out this map-it shows the best route for getting through Mt. Tabor park on onto SE Salmon St. Before you start, make sure to take in the amazing view of the city to the west. MILE 1 is a PR-inducing, downhill segment that is virtually traffic free and meanders through the park roads of Mt. Tabor. Watch our for bikes, giant pinecones, and squirrels! MILE 2 takes you through historic East Belmont neighborhood. This is a multi-use road so please obey all traffic signals and use your best pedestrian senses! MILE 3 flattens out slightly and ascends the one very tiny uphill portion of the race as you cross SE 28th St. MILE 4 is a cool and gentle glide to the finish at Rogue East Pub. Celebrate your run or walk and kick up your feet with a cold Rogue brew or root beer – maintaining social distance of course.
