Q: Where do I park the morning of the event?
A: Parking: when you enter Champoeg State park, there will be a parking ticket kiosk. The cost is $5 unless you already have an Oregon State Parks Pass. You will need to purchase a day pass at the entrance to the park before you park your car or show your Oregon State Park Pass at the booth. Day Use Pass is $5 per car so consider carpooling. Q: Is there gear check?
A: YES-You will be parked fairly close to the start/finish (less than 1/4 mile) but we will have gear check available for last minute needs
Q: How do I change distances?
A: The best way to change distances is to login to your Active.com account and make the change yourself. We can also make the change for you at packet pick up. Please do not change race distances during the actual event!
Q: Are there pace groups?
A: We do not have official pace leaders. We do request that all participants “Self Seed” which means that if you are trying to win the whole thing (under 6:00 min/mile) then get right up front. If you are taking pics, and walking with friends, line up closer to the back. Easy peasy!
Q: How do I get my results?
A: The best way to get your results is to make sure that your Active.com profile has a cell phone listed. We will text your result right when you finish. For the longer events, you will also receive split times. Results will also be live on www.runwithpaula.com. For the most accurate results, please make sure to wear your bib number with timing tag on the front of your torso.
Q: What are the age divisions?
Age Groups are divided into 5-year increments. Our youngest age group is 14 & Under, and then 15-19, 20-24…all the way to 75 & Over! We also have a Masters Division for racers who are 40 years old and older. Ribbons will be awarded to the top three in each age group. Top finishers will receive PRC gift cards as well.
Q: Does everyone get a finisher medal?
A: We believe that all participants are accomplishing great things. From staying fit, to recovering from injury, to qualifying for the Olympic Trials, finisher medals are earned by all! 2019 Medal pictured.
Q: Are dogs allowed in the race?
Unfortunately, our race course is much too narrow for our four-legged friends and so dogs are not allowed on the race course.
Q: Are strollers allowed on the race course?
We love seeing families who exercise and who enjoy each other’s company. Unfortnately, our race course is an out and back and has some very narrow portions. Strollers are not allowed on the race course during the event.
