PRE-EVENT

Question: What are the expo hours?

  • Friday, October 5th, 12:00pm – 8:00pm
  • Saturday, October 6th, 10:00am – 6:00pm

Question: Where is the expo? Hilton Downtown Portland: 921 SW 6th Ave, Portland, OR 97204

Question: Where do I park for the expo and for the morning of the race?

Answer: Parking Downtown-there is ample parking in downtown Portland. We advise carpooling when possible. Make sure you arrive early as there will be some delays. Here is a list of Smart Park facilities near the start/finish line.

Question: Can someone else pick up my packet for me?

Answer: YES-please have individual confirmation emails with QR Codes for each registration you wish to have picked up

Question: Can I change races?

Answer: YES-You can access your registration details at active.com where you can changes races through Saturday, October 6th.

Question: Are there different color bibs for each race?

Answer: YES! See below.

Question: Are there Pace Groups for all races?

Answer: YES-There are pacing teams for the half marathon and full marathon. We are continuing to add pace groups. See our pacer line up.

Question: What are the Aid Station Locations and nutritional supplies?

Gatorade Endurance and water are available at all aid stations. CLIF zone equipped with CLIF Shot will be available at the half marathon turn around. View the PORTLANDATHON AID STATIONS .

How do I volunteer?

Gear Check

Question: Can I register Day of Race?

Answer: NO-. Registration will close at the race expo at the Portland Downtown Hilton on Saturday, October 6th

Question: Can I pick up my packet on the day of the race?

Answer: NO-there will be no packet pick up on the morning of the race. All packets must be picked up at the race expo at the Portland Downtown Hilton.

Question: Is there gear check services?

Answer: YES-gear check will offered starting at 6am on the morning of the event. Gear check will be located at the World Trade Center approximately one block from the finish line.

Question: If I throw away my clothes at the start or in the few miles, what happens those items?

Answer: All clothing donations will be made on behalf of Portlandathon to the Union Gospel Mission.

Question: What are normal weather conditions on race day?

Answer: We can’t predict the weather but we can can tell you that sunrise is at 7:17am so it will be dark throughout the marathon pre-race. Check out the ten day forecast. Check out the weather history of this date.

Post-Race Festivities

Question: My meal is included with my entry. Can my family purchase food at the post-race event? YES-Stanford’s restaurant will offer meal purchase to spectators and family members on the day of the race.

Question: Is there post-race entertainment? YES–post race entertainment features renown pop group Hit Machine.

Question: Do all races have finisher medals? YES-We have medals for the full marathon, half marathon, 5-miler, and a special commemorative lapel pin for the 4-mile walk.

Question: Is there an award ceremony? There will not be an official award ceremony but we will recognize our top finishers in the three competitive events.

Question: Is there a family reunion area? YES-racers will be directed to the family reunion area immediately as they exit the finish chute. The family reunion area is located on SW 1st Ave. between SW Salmon and SW Main St approximately one block from the finish line.

Question: Where can I view my results? Results are compiled by Run With Paula and will be published live in cooperation with Active.com. Check results here.
