Our community is changing the world!
Fact: 1 in 5 fruits and veggies grown in the U.S. don’t meet cosmetic standards – the crooked carrot, the curvy cucumber, the undersized apple – usually causing them to go to waste. We’re here to change that. Visit Imperfect Produce at the 3rd and final 5K!!
Let’s Make A Difference Together! A portion of our proceeds from this race series go to The Union Gospel Mission. Food and household items donated will go to the Beaverton Sunshine Pantry.
Sunshine Pantry, Beaverton, Oregon
Please check out this list of items needed and bring one of them with you to the race as Sunshine Pantry will be on-site with collection barrels. YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE by bringing just one item!!
Sunshine Pantry’s Mission:
Our commitment is to provide essential nutrition and amenities to all those in need. We strive to restore dignity and instill hope. Our main focus is the family. In the hours of crisis, we believe no child should go to bed hungry.
3rd Race is a Predict: No timing devices allowed
Our FINAL 5K will be a PREDICT 5K. You “predict” your time and will be scored accordingly. Anyone can win the Precict 5K by knowing your pace, however, no timing devices allowed. 🙂 No phones or watches can be carried or worn. We will ask you for your predicted 5K time before the race on February 20. All 5K’s will be timed by Runwithpaula and official results will be posted here. The 5K series is chip timed.
Registration
Each 5K is $30. If you sign up for all 3 races the fee is just $75. A great investment in your winter fitness! We will have one T shirt for the Series and it can be purchased for $15 during registration or at the race. Pre-Order for guaranteed size. We will add a 5K logo to your shirt at each race so be sure and bring it with you each month and don’t purchase more than one t shirt as there is only one shirt for entire series. Shirt is a long sleeve cotton unisex race shirt. Super great fit and feel.
Pre-registration is online only. You may sign up day of race starting at 7:30am.

Reasons to Run a 5K or a 5K Series
1. Doability. A 5K is about 3.1 miles. The distance is doable. Most of us have super busy lives and wait until Spring to begin training for longer distances like a half marathon or marathon. Why not keep yourself in the game this Winter and continue to train for a shorter maybe even faster distance? Keep your focus over the winter and start your Spring training ahead of the game while keeping that winter layer in check! 2. Time: You can train for a 5K by running or walking just a few times a week and feel good about yourself without spending too much time away. Race day is a snap if you do a quick warm up, race for 30-40 minutes, cool down and boom, your home! Done and back home eating breakfast with the family in a snap! 3. Faster: The 5K distance allows you to push yourself on race day. Take this challenge and make it fun! Whether you are walking, jogging or running hard, push yourself to a new level, the 5K will be your fastest race, let’s see what you can do. 4. Better: Racing makes you fit. Racing makes your everyday runs feel easier. If you put a race number on 3 months in a row you will learn how to avoid race day jitters which will help your overall performance in any race. 5. Something New: If you are always training for a half marathon or marathon it is good to mix it up. Setting new goals keeps us excited and fresh.
6. Focused: If you put 3 races on your Winter Calendar you will stay focused on your training and maybe will give you that extra little push you need to get up and out in the cold and rain. We live in a cold and rainy climate, anything to help us stay motivated to get outside is great for training. 7. New Shoes: Time for you to lace up a pair of light weight trainers – PRC can help you find a pair of racing shoes that make you feel light and speedy, stop in and talk about racing shoes today!
